About Jill Oliveri
Dr. Jill Oliveri is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cancer Prevention and Control at the WVU School of Medicine WVU Cancer Institute. She also serves as the Assistant Director of the Implementation Science Center within the WVU Clinical and Translational Science Institute. She has more than 20 years of experience in applying multilevel implementation frameworks and mixed-methods approaches to improve cancer prevention and control in clinical and community settings. She leads research aimed at improving cancer prevention, screening, and care delivery in rural settings by examining patient navigation models, community needs, trust, social determinants of health, and barriers to prevention and follow‑up care. Dr. Oliveri’s research has centered on increasing colorectal and cervical cancer screening among rural and underserved populations, particularly Appalachian communities, through the design, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based interventions in low resource settings. She uses implementation science methods to support the adoption, integration, and sustainability of evidence-based interventions in real-world clinical and community settings.
