I am an Assistant Professor of Medicine in Transplant Nephrology at West Virginia University School of Medicine and WVU Medicine. I care for patients with kidney disease and kidney transplant recipients before and after transplantation.

Kidney transplantation is one of the most meaningful areas of medicine to me because it offers patients and families hope, renewed quality of life, and the opportunity for a fresh start. My goal is to provide compassionate, thoughtful, and individualized care while helping patients understand each step of their transplant journey.

I completed my Transplant Nephrology Fellowship at the University of Illinois Chicago, where I trained in a high-volume transplant program and cared for patients with complex kidney transplant needs in both hospital and clinic settings. Before that, I completed my Nephrology Fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and my Internal Medicine training at Jordan Hospital in Amman, Jordan.

My clinical interests include kidney transplantation, transplant immunology, immune tolerance, organ donation awareness, medical education, and improving access to transplant care. I value clear communication, teamwork, and building long-term relationships with patients and their families. I am also committed to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows and to advancing transplant-focused quality improvement and scholarship.

• Inpatient and outpatient transplant nephrology
• Immunosuppression management and optimization
• Kidney allograft dysfunction, rejection evaluation, and biopsy coordination
• Transplant-related infection monitoring, including BK virus and CMV surveillance
• Donor-specific antibody surveillance and pathology-guided transplant management
• Acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, end-stage kidney disease, dialysis, glomerular disease, and electrolyte/acid-base disorders
