Why did you choose WVU? I have loved West Virginia before I even started medical school here. Over the past four years, I have received a fantastic education from faculty and wanted to continue training in the area. Although I am from Pittsburgh, the local population has embraced me as one of their own and has shown me the utmost respect. I hope I can continue serving this local population while enjoying all the other things West Virginia has to offer from the athletics, outdoor activities, and social life.

Brief bio:  I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Growing up I was heavily involved in sports such as football, baseball, and wrestling. My love of academics and athletics brought me to The College of Wooster in Ohio where I studied Biochemistry and played football. When applying to medical school, I looked for a place that had a welcoming atmosphere and strong curriculum. This ultimately led to choosing WVU as my new home. My brother also saw the appeal of the university which led him to graduating from law school the same day I graduated medical school. Being in Morgantown also lets me visit family and friends in Pittsburgh when I have free time. When I’m not in the hospital, I enjoy fishing, football, and lifting weights.
