About Alex Myint
Dr. Alex Myint is a board-certified gastroenterologist and transplant hepatologist who recently joined the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology as Director of the Advanced Liver Disease Program. He previously served as Medical Director of Liver Transplant at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center.
Dr. Myint earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Texas A&M University. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Colorado Denver, followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at Methodist Hospital System in Dallas and a transplant hepatology fellowship at Northwestern University.
His clinical interests include the care of patients with steatotic liver disease, viral hepatitis, autoimmune liver disease, cirrhosis, end-stage liver disease, and post-transplant management for liver transplant recipients.
