About Amr Elbakry
Dr. Amr A. Elbakry is a fellowship-trained reconstructive urologist specializing in complex genitourinary reconstruction, cancer survivorship, and advanced single-port (SP) robotic surgery. He is dedicated to helping patients restore function, improve quality of life, and find innovative solutions for challenging urologic conditions. Dr. Elbakry completed his initial urology training at the renowned Mansoura Urology and Nephrology Center in Egypt, where he gained extensive experience in complex open reconstruction, urinary diversion techniques, and urethral reconstruction surgery. He then completed a second urology residency at West Virginia University. He then pursuit further specialized fellowship training in Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery at NYU Langone Health in New York City, where he was trained under leaders in the field and mastered advanced minimally invasive and robotic reconstructive techniques. His fellowship training also focused on innovative approaches to advanced reconstruction including very specialized techniques of free flap and microsurgery in collaboration with plastic surgeons and microsurgeons. Dr. Elbakry is passionate about surgical innovation and continuously integrates cutting-edge technology into his practice. He is also an active educator and researcher, committed to advancing the field of reconstructive urology and improving patient outcomes.
