Greg Griffin was born in Tuscon, AZ but spent his formative years in Northeast Ohio. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Utah State University. Greg then attended Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. He then completed a Transitional Year at Southeastern Health in Lumberton, NC followed by an Emergency Medicine Residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General in Akron, Ohio. During residency, Greg published two articles looking at Emergency Department metrics and patient outcomes. Along with those articles, Greg published several case reports including newly diagnosed diabetes and diabetic ketoacidosis in a patient with COVID-19 and myocarditis post COVID-19 vaccination. Greg’s passion for teaching led him to take a core faculty position at community Emergency medicine residency before letting country roads take him home to West Virginia University.
