Why did you choose WVU? WVU has felt like home throughout medical school, making it an easy choice for residency. The people are what stood out most—the faculty are invested in resident education, the residents are welcoming and supportive, and the culture encourages growth. Combined with the breadth of clinical experience across academic, community, and rural emergency medicine, I knew WVU was the best place to continue my training.

Brief bio:  I grew up in Kamas, Utah, where I spent most of my time hunting, fishing, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors. I attended Brigham Young University and earned a degree in Russian Studies. After college, I joined the military. My time in the military introduced me to medicine and ultimately led me to pursue a career in emergency medicine. Outside of the hospital, you'll usually find me training Brazilian jiu-jitsu, hunting, fishing, or spending time with my wife.
