About Sherri Boone
Sherri Lynn Boone is a dedicated and accomplished registered nurse with over 20 years of experience in pediatric nursing and transplant care. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh and a School Nurse Certification from Cedar Crest College. Throughout her career, Dr. Boone has demonstrated a strong commitment to patient care, specializing in solid organ transplant and intestinal care at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Her accolades include the prestigious 2024 Daisy Award for exceptional nursing and recognition as a finalist for the Frank LeMoyne Award, which honors outstanding contributions to pediatric nursing. As a mentor and educator, she has played a pivotal role in guiding new nurses and nursing students, sharing her wealth of knowledge and fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals. Mrs. Boone is also certified in pediatric nursing and has extensive experience in care coordination and case management. She is excited to begin her work as a clinical instructor within the WVU School of Nursing.
