About Farshid Alizadeh
Dr. Farshid Alizadeh, MD is an Assistant Professor of Urology at West Virginia University (WVU) Medicine. He completed his clinical fellowship in Robotic and Reconstructive Urology at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Boston University (2022–2024), and previously trained in Pediatric Urology at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. He earned his medical degree and completed his urology residency at Tehran University, graduating as valedictorian.
Prior to joining WVU, Dr. Alizadeh served over a decade on faculty at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, advancing from Assistant to Associate Professor of Urology. He is an Associate Editor of Advanced Biomedical Research and a peer reviewer for several international journals, including Urology Journal, Andrologia, and the Brazilian International Journal of Urology.
Dr. Alizadeh has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications spanning robotic surgery, pediatric urology, stone disease, reconstructive techniques, and functional urology. His research includes randomized clinical trials, diagnostic innovations, and long-term surgical outcomes. He has presented at international conferences such as the World Congress of Endourology, and Asian Congress of Urology.
With a career bridging advanced surgical training and academic leadership, Dr. Alizadeh’s scholarly and clinical work reflects his commitment to innovation and education in urology.
Outside of the operating room, Dr. Alizadeh enjoys running, swimming, and spending time on the trails of Morgantown.
