About Rachel Cruickshank
Rachel L. Cruickshank, PharmD is the Director of the West Virginia Poison Center (WVPC) and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at West Virginia University (WVU) School of Pharmacy. Dr. Cruickshank works out of the WVU Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center Charleston Division. She graduated with her PharmD from WVU School of Pharmacy in 2021. Dr. Cruickshank completed a PGY1 Acute Care Pharmacy Residency (2022) and a PGY2 in Critical Care Pharmacy Residency (2023) from Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC), and then completed a Clinical Toxicology Fellowship at the WVPC affiliated with WVU. Dr. Cruickshank teaches the clinical toxicology, disaster planning, and substance abuse related classes for the WVU School of Pharmacy in addition to content area related to adverse drug reactions. She also provides continuing education presentations for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists throughout WV on topics related to clinical toxicology and drugs of abuse.
