About Grace Atkinson
Grace Atkinson is a Program Assistant at the West Virginia Prevention Research Center (WV PRC), where she contributes to key initiatives such as Project AWARE (Advancing Wellness and Resiliency in Education), the West Virginia Community Partnership Board (WVCPB), and the Ripple Effects Mapping (REM) team. Her work includes providing data support and entry for Project AWARE, coordinating events, and engaging with community members for the CPB, and conducting qualitative data analysis for the REM team.
Grace holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from West Virginia University with a minor in Health Promotion and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health with a focus on Health Behavior Health Promotion at the University of Arizona, expected to graduate in December 2025. Grace's previous projects include analyzing the impact of COVID-19 on pediatric patients with respiratory health conditions and facilitating discussions on health disparities. Her research interests encompass public health research, community engagement, and improving public health outcomes, with a commitment to promoting wellness across diverse communities.
