Pia Peltola is a social science researcher with 14 years of experience in designing and managing small- and large-scale survey and technical assistance projects. Some of her previous roles include Scientific Review Officer for National Institutes of Health and Principal Researcher at American Institutes for Research (AIR). During her 15 years at AIR, Peltola worked with clients at local, state, and federal education agencies and nonprofit organizations on qualitative and quantitative data collections and social science research projects.

Prior to her time with AIR, Peltola planned and conducted secondary data collection and statistical analysis related to the social and economic well-being of disabled South Africans for the United Nations’ World Bank Group. As our Director of Survey Research, Pia will develop survey administration approaches and methods, implement multi-mode statewide surveys, and provide oversight and management of survey statisticians and epidemiologists.
