About Somya Chowdhary
Somya Chowdhary, M.D., is an ophthalmologist who specializes in neuro-ophthalmology, pediatric ophthalmology and the management and treatment of strabismus.
Dr. Chowdhary joined the WVU Eye Institute and the WVU Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences faculty in 2022. She serves as an assistant professor.
Chowdhary is a 2022 graduate of the Neuro-Ophthalmology and Inherited Retinal Diseases Fellowship Program and a 2020 graduate of the Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Fellowship Program at the University of Miami Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. She completed the Ophthalmology Residency Program at Kasturba Medical College in 2007, where she previously earned her medical degree in 2002.
