France Weaver, PhD, MS, assumed the roles of director of the Master of Health Administration (MHA) and associate professor of Health Policy, Management, and Leadership in the WVU School of Public Health in August 2022. 

As a health economist, she has worked for various institutions in the US and Switzerland. She has a long experience mentoring students and collaborating with health practitioners to enhance students’ experience and skill development.

Her scholarship focuses on the determinants of the demand for health services, with a particular interest in the impact of aging on these services. Dr. Weaver holds a M.S. in economics from University of Lausanne in Switzerland and a Ph.D. in health policy and administration, with a concentration in health economics, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
