Why did you choose WVU? My goal was to train at a Trauma 1 institution with opportunities for training in rural healthcare and a fellowship opportunity in palliative medicine. 
Brief bio:  Alexis grew up in Wausau, Wisconsin. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison majoring in the History of Science, Medicine, and Technology. She continued her training at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health as a part of the Wisconsin Academy for Rural Medicine. Within the scope of emergency medicine, she is interested in exploring rural medicine and palliative medicine.  Her hobbies include hiking, reading, traveling, and cooking.
