About David DeFazio
Brief Bio:
I was born and raised in Exton, PA, outside of Philadelphia. I completed my undergraduate studies at Penn State University, Where I met my wife. I then went on to complete a master's degree at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. After graduate school, I returned to Philadelphia for a year, where I assumed a role with the National Health Corps, a branch of AmeriCorps, serving with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. From there I went on to medical school at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, before coming to West University for residency.
What attracted you to WVU Surgery Residency?
My perception was that the faculty was highly dedicated to the education and success of the residents.
What makes our program unique?
Training at WVU offers exposure to a breadth of presentations and pathology in a truly unique patient population.
What do you like about Morgantown?
Morgantown is a great place to live and work. The town offers diverse dining and entertainment experiences, and an abundance of outdoor activities are easily accessible. Traffic is very manageable, and the cost of living is extremely reasonable.
