Why did you choose WVU? Getting to work at a high acuity academic center, busy community hospital, and multiple critical access hospitals all in a program that makes you feel comfortable enough to call leadership “mom and dad.” Not to mention a growing department with enthusiastic faculty serving a clinically underserved population.  The fact there are a growing number of biking and hiking trailheads within 30 minutes of the hospital is a cherry on top! 

Brief bio: Jared grew up in northern New Mexico surrounded by green chile, pine trees, and sunshine. While the Rockies will always be home, he is looking forward to seeing what the Appalachians have to offer. In his free time, Jared can be found riding one of a growing collection of bikes, ripping it up on a pair of skis, or baking and devouring yummy treats at home.
