About Eric Bonar
Hometown: West Liberty, WV
Medical School: West Virginia University
What I like best about being a Mountaineer: I love that everywhere you go in the state you see people wearing and representing the university. I think WVU is the biggest unifying body in our state, and it is pretty awesome to have a university and healthcare system that are built around taking care of its state’s people.
Why Family Medicine? A Family Medicine doctor is what I have always envisioned when thinking about what the classic ‘doctor’ is. We are trained in a variety of settings and patient populations with one of the broadest scopes of practice across medical fields.
Before Medical School: I came to WVU for my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry. Spent a lot of my free time trying to make a little bit of money working as a tutor with different departments and programs across the university.
I enjoy: I love any and all sports and my Xbox. Really enjoy just watching, being a fan and playing fantasy sports.
