Alec Statler, MD is an Assistant Professor for the West Virginia University Department of Anesthesiology. He joined the Department of Anesthesiology as a member of the Division of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Anesthesiology in 2026. He is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (Anesthesiology, 2025) and National Board of Echocardiography (Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography, 2026). Dr. Statler earned his Doctor of Medicine at West Virginia School of Medicine in Morgantown, WV in 2020. He completed his Anesthesiology Residency at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV in 2024. Dr. Statler joined WVU as faculty in 2024 before starting his fellowship in 2025. He completed his Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology fellowship in 2026. Dr. Satler was appointed as Associate Program Director for the Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship at West Virginia University in October 2026.
