About Christi Gross
In her role with the Office of Health Affairs, Dr. Gross provides research and policy development for the WV DHHR. She currently supports the COVID-19 Evaluation Project, which involves scanning West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (WV DHHR) Bureau for Medical Services (BMS) policy changes made in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and creating logic models to guide development of an evaluation plan for these policy changes.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Gross devoted her efforts to a vast array of quantitative and qualitative research studies. Projects included quantitative examinations focusing on postpartum mental health during the transition to parenthood and a qualitative project centered on interviews with the individuals responsible for administering Ohio’s Welfare-to-Work program throughout the state. She taught courses on quantitative research methods, sociological analysis, adolescence in society, childhood in society, deviant behavior, and the sociology of family violence. Additionally, she has professional experience in the mental health field, and has worked in such fields as school counseling, case management, behavioral specialist consultation, and mobile therapy. Her vision is to discover, develop and deliver transformational outcomes for our community.
