About Jayne Brandel
Biography:
Narrative: Dr. Jayne Brandel joined West Virginia University Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2016 as an Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Division. Prior to her appointment, she was a faculty member and Chairperson at Fort Hays State University. A recipient of the ASHA’s 2011 Editors’ Award and the 2014 Early Career Contributions in Research, Jayne’s research interests focus on language and literacy development and disorders in adolescence as well as issues associated with service delivery in the schools including effective continuing education practices. She has taught courses at the undergraduate and graduate level related to language development and diagnosis and treatment of developmental language disorders as well as principles of treatment and evaluation.
