BIOGRAPHY
About Jacob Tyler Greenfield, OTD, OTR/L, ATRIC, CSRS, CSOT
Narrative:
Dr. Greenfield joined WVU in 2021. Dr. Greenfield earned his MOT from WVU in 2018, and his Post-professional OTD from Chatham University in 2022. He is currently enrolled in the WVU Higher Education Administration EdD Program. His clinical background includes neuro-inpatient rehabilitation. His specialty areas include stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injuries, adolescent transitions, and sexuality. Jacob holds multiple professional certifications. He is a Certified Stroke Recovery Specialist (CSRS), certified in aquatic therapy through ATRI, and a Certified Sexuality Occupational Therapy Practitioner (CSOT).
Dr. Greenfield is a member of the WVU Health Sciences inter-professional education steering committee and oversees all IPE activities for occupational therapy students. Additionally, Dr. Greenfield serves as one of the faculty facilitators for the IPE Poverty Simulation. He serves as a faculty advisor for the WVU Project MUSHROOM, a street medicine student-led group. Dr. Greenfield is also a member of the WVU SOM DEI Committee and the WVU COTAD Chapter Faculty Advisor. Dr. Greenfield is an active member and leader within the West Virginia Occupational Therapy Association and COTAD National.
His clinical work revolves around neuro-oncology. Dr. Greenfield provides primary care services in the WVU MBRCC Brain Tumor Clinic. In this clinic, Dr. Greenfield screens patients for functional needs and connects them with rehab services throughout West Virginia and the surrounding state. Dr. Greenfield sits on the Cancer Committee and Survivorship Team through the WVU Medicine Cancer Center representing rehabilitation services.
