About Ali Hajiran
Dr. Ali Hajiran is a urologic oncology surgeon and currently serves as the Chief of Urologic Oncology at West Virginia University Cancer Institute. A native of Wheeling, West Virginia, he completed his undergraduate degree at Wheeling Jesuit University before earning his Doctorate of Medicine from West Virginia University School of Medicine. He completed General Surgery Internship and Urologic Surgery Residency training at West Virginia University. Dr. Hajiran then completed a Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) accredited Fellowship at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Hajiran has authored or co-authored over 40 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters. He specializes in treating complex cases of kidney, bladder, prostate, and testicular cancer using minimally-invasive robotic and traditional surgical techniques.
As a native West Virginian, Dr. Hajiran is passionate and excited about the opportunity to deliver cutting-edge surgery and comprehensive world-class care to West Virginians with urologic cancers. Dr. Hajiran is an avid Mountaineer fan and regularly attends basketball games at the WVU Coliseum. He enjoys running, biking, swimming, and walking his two dogs with his wife and daughter on the trails in Morgantown.
