Julie Day serves as Assistant Director of Recruitment for Professional and Undergraduate Programs in the West Virginia University School of Medicine. Julie is a first-generation student from Berlin, Pennsylvania. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and English from Gettysburg College. Beginning with her work-study job as a tour guide, she developed a deep love of helping others navigate the college admissions process. This led to her professional career in secondary and postsecondary student success.

After working as an Assistant Director of Admission at Colgate University, Julie went on to pursue her Master’s degree in Higher Education from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education. She then served as a college counselor at a charter school in Arizona before joining the WVU School of Medicine, Professional & Undergraduate Programs in 2021. In time set aside for herself, Julie can be found among the rolling hills of West Virginia hiking with her dog, Ruby.
