About Roseane Santos
Roseane M Santos, PhD, is a Teaching Associate Professor at the Physiology and Pharmacology Department at WVU School of Medicine. She was awarded a 4-year scholarship from the Brazilian Government and came to The USA with her family for her PhD. Program at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at State University of New York in Buffalo, NY. She was appointed as Assistant Professor at Colleges of Pharmacy in Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy, Fort Lauderdale, Florida and at South University School of Pharmacy, Savannah, Georgia. Always teaching on a variety of topics of pharmacology. Her last appointment was at Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Smith, AR at the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Pharmacology. She has also authored books, book chapters and many research papers. She is working on a practical brochure that summarizes the most important pharmacological information on the top 200 drugs for biomedical college students. Santos' research laboratory is focused on Coffee and Health and her major interest is on the recently discovered bioactive compounds present in coffee known as chlorogenic acids and lactones and their effects on human health. Currently her research is focused on the Search of the Genomic Fingerprint of the Coffee Consumption.
