About Michael Sestito
Brief bio: I grew up near Fredericksburg, VA. I received my undergraduate degree at William and Mary where I engaged in research and teaching opportunities. After graduating, I worked as a medical scribe for an ENT clinic in Richmond, Virginia prior to attending medical school at the University of Virginia.
What attracted you to WVU surgery for residency? I chose this program because of its culture of self-reflection and growth, friendly and teaching-oriented residents, the opportunity to engage in academic research, and its production of fellowship-ready graduating residents.
What makes our program unique? As a surgical resident at WVU, I feel that I have the unique opportunity to be a part of a program and department that is actively growing. I look forward to being a part of this progress and feel that I can gain significant leadership experience in this environment during my time here.
What do you like about living in Morgantown? Morgantown has the best blend of being surrounded by nature and having the energy and excitement of a young college town.
