About Ashley Foreman
Medical School: Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University
Residency Program: Emergency Medicine, West Virginia University
Why did you choose the WVU Medical Education and Administration Fellowship?
I felt teaching was superb during my residency here at WVU. I gained so much insight from the faculty on how adults learn on the job and wanted to further my knowledge in a formal setting, especially one with such robustness of educational theory and administrative opportunities built into the curriculum.
What are your long term goals and interests in medical education?
I’m interested in academic medicine and hope to work with residents throughout my career. In addition, I am passionate about QI, residency recruitment, and teaching learners at the medical school level.
What do you love to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I am an avid runner and musician, frequently hitting the trails and going to shows. I love to spend time with friends and family, and take my pup, Birdie, for hikes.
