About Myia Welsh
As program director, Myia works with WV DHHR partners to identify project priorities, and then relays those assessments to OHA staff to help implement effective evaluation with those established priorities in mind. Through this role, she is able to focus on her passion for helping organizations make programmatic decisions that have a positive impact on vulnerable populations.
Over the last ten years, Myia has cultivated expertise in conducting evaluation of support services for survivors of human trafficking and conducting valuation of community-based health improvement projects. Building on her early foundation as a clinical social worker in mental health services, she conducts evaluation that is trauma-informed and empowering for both social service professionals and the populations they serve.
