About Elena Wojcik
In her role with the Office of Health Affairs, Elena conducts literature reviews and annotated bibliographies, along with descriptive data, assisting with IRB writing, cross-walking documents, and deliverable development. Her work provides research associates, the project director, and the principal investigator crucial resources to complete projects in order to positively impact the health of West Virginians.
Prior to joining the team at the Office of Health Affairs, Elena served as a patient navigator with the Department of Emergency Medicine and as a research assistant in the Department of Family Medicine, both at WVU. Her previous research experience includes work on the FOCUS project, aimed at increasing testing for HIV and Hepatitis C combined with linkage to care for positive patients, and projects involving co-morbidities in the LGBTQ+ population, and sex trafficking.
