About Natalie Thorpe
In her role at the Office of Health Affairs, Natalie leads the project team to meet not only project objectives but also stakeholder expectations from the start through the end product. The program manager is a facilitator during multiple stages of the project, with duties to include organizing and facilitating meetings, creating agendas and meeting minutes, monitoring the budget, and managing the scrum board. Natalie upholds the importance of positive relationships with both external and internal stakeholders, including project team members. She believes the biggest benefit of her role is helping make a difference for beneficiaries of diverse state assistance programs by improving policies and programs that benefit them and their health.
Prior to joining the Office of Health Affairs, Natalie held a supervisory position within the Department of Veterans Affairs at the Hershel Woody Williams VAMC. The management and leadership skills she gained from that position carry over to her role as a program manager, supporting her in managing team members and keeping goals on track for the duration of the project.
