About Abiy Kelil
Dr. Abiy Kelil is the Director of Pulmonary and Critical Care Services at WVU Medicine - Camden Clark and serves as a core faculty member for the residency program. Dr. Kelil was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he graduated from medical school. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Pulmonary Fellowship at Southern Illinois University. He completed his Critical Care Fellowship at St. Louis University. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He was voted Specialist of the Year 2015-2016, 2017-2018 by the residents and Specialty Outstanding Preceptor by the WVSOM students in 2017. Dr. Kelil is passionate about providing quality patient care, evidence-based medicine, and his role as a teacher. When he is not working, he enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two young children.
