About Timothy Goldhardt
Tim Goldhardt, MD, has joined the WVU Medicine Department of Anesthesiology in Morgantown, West Virginia as a cardiac anesthesiologist. Dr. Goldhardt is a former resident of the Department and he completed a cardiac anesthesiology fellowship at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He also holds board certifications in Anesthesiology, Adult Cardiac Anesthesiology, and Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography.
Dr. Goldhardt’s primary site of practice is the Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI) operating rooms where he is part of the charge anesthesiologist team, but also regularly covers the main operating rooms, the ambulatory surgical center, IR, and other off-site locations. His clinical interests include advanced transesophageal echocardiography in complex open-heart surgeries, including adult congenital heart surgery, and well as structural heart procedures. Dr. Goldhardt is the fellowship rotation coordinator for the Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography course and is a TEE guidelines reviewer for the WVU Cardiac Anesthesia Conference series. Additionally, he serves as a member of the WVU School of Medicine Committee on Academic and Professional Standards (CAPS) and as the cardiac anesthesiology representative for the WVU Preoperative Evaluation Center (PEC) Advisory Board.
Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Goldhardt enjoys mountain biking and actively supports his three children in their various after-school activities and sports.
