Trey Vanek, MD is an Assistant Professor for the West Virginia University Department of Anesthesiology. He joined the Department of Anesthesiology as a member of the Division of Pain Medicine in 2024. He is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (Anesthesiology, 2024; Pain Medicine, 2024). Dr. Vanek earned his Doctor of Medicine from West Virginia School of Medicine in Morgantown, WV in 2019. He completed his Anesthesiology Residency at West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, WV in 2023. Dr. Vanek then completed his Pain Medicine Fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, California in 2024. He was appointed as the Pain Fellowship Program Director in July 2026.
