As an analyst, Marco plans and implements programs and activities involving health data analytics and program evaluation, facilitating effective communication and efficient collaboration between research partners at the West Virginia University Health Sciences Center and the staff of the WV DHHR. His duties include oversight and analysis of Medicaid claims data and other state data sources, and his findings support both WVU faculty and WV DHHR leadership in answering questions critical to health care outcomes in the state.

During and prior to graduate school, Marco worked in a clinical healthcare setting as a medical scribe, providing valuable context for policy decisions. Additionally, through his tenure as a graduate student assistant at the Health Research Center, he gained insight into the problems facing particular populations within West Virginia.
