Becky Reece, MD, FACP is an Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at West Virginia University School of Medicine. She serves as Associate Director of the SOM Global Health Program, Vice Chair of Faculty Affairs for the Department of Medicine, as well as co-Director of the Community Engagement & Outreach Core for WVCTSI. Dr. Reece graduated from WVU in 2004 and from WVU SOM in 2008. She then stayed for her Internal Medicine Residency until 2011. She completed her ID fellowship and a T32 research fellowship at Brown University focused on HIV and other infections related to injection drug use. In 2019, she returned to WVU as an infectious disease faculty involved in clinical care, teaching, and research. Her research interests are focused around both HIV and other infections related to IDU as well as increasing access to clinical trials/clinical studies in rural communities.
