Alexander Tylka serves as Assistant Director of Advising in the West Virginia University School of Medicine Health Professions. Alex grew up near Pittsburgh, PA and has found a home in West Virginia, receiving his BA from Bethany College, WV, followed by his MS in Exercise Physiology and his PhD in Higher Education Administration, both from WVU. Alex’s professional interests include understanding the complexity of student success and helping students realize their academic and professional potential.
