About L. Carol Laxson
L. Carol Laxson, M.D., Ph.D., is an ophthalmologist who specializes in the treatment of retinal conditions.
Dr. Laxson joined the WVU Eye Institute and the WVU Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences faculty in 2018. She serves as an assistant professor and the director of the Diabetic Retinopathy Program.
Laxson is a 1990 graduate of the Retina Fellowship Program and a 1989 graduate of the Ophthalmology Residency Program at The Ohio State University. She is also a two-time graduate from The Ohio State University, earning her medical degree in 1985 and her Ph.D. in 1982. Laxson is board-certified in ophthalmology.
