About David Rich
Dr. David Rich is the Chief Medical Information Officer for West Virginia University Health System and Associate Professor of Pediatrics with the West Virginia University School of Medicine. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Clinical Informatics. He began his career in informatics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital after completion of his pediatric residency at The Ohio State University. At Children’s, he helped implement an enterprise medical record and develop the foundation for a clinical informatics department. He has a passion for improving healthcare with technology and removing barriers to providing high quality and safe care. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, he precepts residents and medical students at the Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Group Practice at University Town Center in Morgantown.
