About Thomas Mauger
Thomas Mauger, M.D., is an ophthalmologist who specializes in the treatment of patients with vision needs associated with the cornea, cataracts, lens implants and crosslinking.
Dr. Mauger joined the WVU Eye Institute and the WVU Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences faculty in 2018. He serves as the chair for the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, a professor, the associate dean for practice plan integration and the associate CMO for ambulatory care.
Mauger is a 1989 graduate of the Cornea Fellowship Program and a 1988 graduate of the Ophthalmology Residency Program at The Ohio State University. He completed an internship in ophthalmology at Riverside Methodist Hospital in 1985. He earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University in 1984. Mauger is board-certified in ophthalmology.
