About Michelle Angeline
Michelle is from South Charleston, WV but made her way to Morgantown to earn both of her degrees from WVU. She has a bachelor's in Exercise Physiology and from there, attended medical school at WVU as well. Her hobbies and interests include college football and basketball, spending time with her husband and newborn son, and sleeping in more than 2 hour increments. Her specific emergency medicine interests include public health initiatives that teach people better ED utilization, the unique challenges of women in Emergency Medicine, as well as rural and community EM. Michelle chose WVU's Department of Emergency Medicine for her residency because even before medical school, she was privileged to witness the type of environment WVU DEM residency offered by working as a scribe in the department.
"I was drawn to the family atmosphere, positive learning environment, and wide range of patient pathology. The departmental leadership always made me feel welcome, included, and like a valuable team member no matter what stage of my educational career. The WVU DEM "work family" takes an interest in your personal life and really tries to get to know you as a person. Plus, Morgantown is an amazing city and what would I have done with all of my blue and gold?!"
