About Omar Duenas Garcia
Dr. Omar Duenas earned his medical degree from the Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla and his Doctorate of Medicine at Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. For both degrees, he graduated as valedictorian.
Dr. Duenas completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Bronx Lebanon Hospital – Albert Einstein College of Medicine. During his last year of residency, he served as administrative chief resident. Dr. Duenas then pursued a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine at Umass Memorial Center – University of Massachusetts. Where he also obtained a master's degree in public health.
He joined the faculty of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the WVU School of Medicine, where he treats women with different pelvic floor disorders and general obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Duenas is double board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
His areas of research include surgical outcomes in pelvic surgery, neurourology, and perinatal outcomes in marginated populations.
