About Kelly Lemon
Kelly Lemon is a dual-certified Nurse-Midwife and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner who teaches in the WVU School of Nursing traditional BSN program and has Faculty Practice with the WVU Medicine Dept of Behavioral Medicine Comprehensive Opioid Addiction Treatment Program. She is the Principal Investigator for the SBIRT+ Pilot Study, which is a funded study through the National Center for Domestic Violence, Trauma, and Mental Health. This is funded and currently in year 3 of implementation. She is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Midwifery and Women's Health and the Journal of Addiction Medicine. She is a Fellow in the American College of Nurse-Midwives (inducted in 2023) and serves as a board member of the ACNM Political Action Committee. Through a courtesy faculty appointment as an in the WVU Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, & Reproductive Sciences, she is the principal investigator for the ACE Program (a WV Perinatal Partnership Drug Free Moms and Babies project site) and does full-scope Midwifery on a per diem basis. She also engages in education for medical students, OBGYN residents, and new L&D RNs regarding substance use in pregnancy, prenatal care, and supporting physiologic labor and birth.
