Born and raised in Toledo, OH. Began undergraduate studies at Wheaton College In Illinois. Completed Political Sciences degree and Pre-Med studies at University of Toledo. Completed medical degree at Medical College of Ohio in Toledo in 1989. Six years of Active Duty in the U.S. Navy as intern, resident, operative physician, and worked as family physician in Elkins, WV and in ambulatory/urgent care in Buchannon, WV. Temporarily resided and worked in Southern NH while attending seminary from 1999 to 2001. Has lived in rural Barbour County WV since then working as a family physician in Buckhannon and Belington as Medical Director at Belington Clinic in Urgent Care at Med Express in Morgantown and Bridgeport and as Clinical Director at the federal prison in Gilmer County. Joined the Student Health and Urgent Care Staff at WVU in August 2015. Enjoys living and working outdoors on an old scenic farm property near Belington where he lives with his wife, mother, and three dogs. Attends St Patrick Catholic church in Coalton, WV.
