About Jeremy Hensley
Dr. Jeremy Hensley is a Clinical Anesthesiologist within the School of Medicine of West Virginia University. Dr. Hensley joined the Department of Anesthesiology in January 2015 at the rank of Assistant Professor (Clinical). He earned his doctorate from University of Virginia in 2009. From 2009-2013 Dr. Hensley completed his anesthesiology residency at West Virginia University. Dr. Hensley subsequently undertook a dual fellowship in Neuro-anesthesiology and Neuro-critical Care between 2013 and 2015 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Hensley obtained time-limited board certification with the American Board of Anesthesiology in 2014. He is a core member of the Neurosurgical Anesthesia College and provides additional expertise to that team as a result of his fellowship training in neurosurgical anesthesia. He serves as the co-director of the Neurosurgical Anesthesia Rotation. Dr. Hensely also shows dedication to the improvement of our department and our residency program by serving on the Program Evaluation and Improvement Committee. Dr. Hensley is the Director of the Anesthesiology Clerkship for MS3 and MS4 medical students. He gives biweekly lectures to students, provides shadowing opportunities, and performs clinical teaching. He has also developed a “Neurotrauma” simulation for medical students and residents
