BJ was born in Arizona but his father’s career in the Air Force quickly took him to Ohio where he grew up to become a die-hard Buckeye. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at WVU and has added the Mountaineers to his list of teams to cheer for on College football Saturdays. After residency, BJ used his love of sports to continue his training and completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Arizona. Despite an amazing year in Tucson, the great state of West Virginia and the phenomenal people drew him back to Morgantown to start his career as a member of the faculty in the Department of Emergency Medicine at WVU.
