As a native West Virginian, I am proud to have completed my training in Gastroenterology at West Virginia University. This fellowship followed my chief year in internal medicine, an internal medicine residency and medical school, also at WVU. Upon returning to the faculty in the division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology in 2014, I have had the fortune of caring for many patients from my home state of West Virginia, as well as surrounding states.

Academic medicine has offered me the ideal balance of clinical work, research and education, and many opportunities for self-growth. I have been privileged to serve as Medical Director of Endoscopy for WVU Medicine, and recently have become Program Director for the Gastroenterology & Hepatology fellowship. Collaborating with faculty, residents, fellows and M.D./Ph.D. candidates, I have been a part of case reports, retrospective studies, meta-analyses, human studies and prospective trials. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to lecture medical students, residents and fellows and have given presentations at local and regional conferences.
