Dr. Mary Schmidt is a faculty member at United Hospital Center, where she is involved in medical student and resident education.  She is interested in palliative and end of life care in the Emergency Department and has developed simulation scenarios for the WVU EM residents that focus upon how to effectively initiate end of life discussions in the Emergency Department.
