About Jamie Latos
Jamie C. Latos, DO is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Rheumatology in the Department of Internal Medicine at West Virginia University. He is a West Virginia native, originally from Wheeling, WV. He attended West Virginia University for undergraduate studies and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in exercise physiology along with a certification in aquatic therapy in 2009. He obtained his doctorate of osteopathy (DO) degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV. Thereafter, he completed a combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at West Virginia University, during which time he served at the IM/Pediatrics Chief Resident in 2016-2017. Following residency, he completed a rheumatology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 2019 and served as the Chief Rheumatology Fellow from 2018-2019.
Dr. Latos is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. His practice focuses mainly on treating patients in the ambulatory setting for a variety of rheumatic conditions including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, gout, and vasculitis among others. He has a particular interest in transition of care for those patients previously diagnosed with juvenile rheumatic conditions into the adult rheumatology clinic.
