Teaching Interests and Courses Taught
Dr. White provides education on disease prevention and health promotion through self-awareness and skills development as part of the My First Patient Program. He provides lectures in a number of Pharmaceutical Care Labs and Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience courses as well as facilitation of student involvement in the Health Education Center.
Dr. White’s main practice site is within the School of Pharmacy in the Health Education Center. He provides instruction to pharmacy students related to disease prevention and health promotion topics such as lipids, blood glucose, body composition, and others. The Health Education Center utilizes various point of care testing devices to obtain health screening results quickly.
Research and Scholarship Interests
Dr. White’s research interests include evaluating the impact of individual health-awareness on professionalism in practice. He is also involved in developing an inter-professional approach to the My First Patient program.
