About Troy Krupica

Dr. Troy M. Krupica is the Division Chief of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine at WVU School of Medicine.  He completed his undergraduate degree in Nuclear Medicine at Wheeling Jesuit University in 2006.  He then completed his medical school training and earned a Medical Degree from Georgetown University in 2010.  He then completed an Internal Medicine Residency at WVU School of Medicine in 2013.  He was selected as a Chief Resident and completed this immediately following residency in 2013-2014.  He then became faculty in the Department of Medicine and was promoted to Interim Division Chief, before being officially hired as Division Chief in 2017.  Since graduating from residency, he has been an associate program director for the Internal Medicine Residency and co-director of the Global Health Track for Internal Medicine Residency.  He is licensed to practice medicine in the state of WV, and is American Board of Internal Medicine certified since 2014.  He also currently is the Medical Director for Pine Ridge Nursing home in Kingwood, WV and is the lead collaborator with Mapleshire nursing home for the Department of Medicine.
